I purchased my Goyard St. Louis PM in limited edition pink because I couldn’t resist the cotton candy color. This was not an in-person purchase, and I had to wait several weeks for my new Saint Louis PM to arrive. The pictures from my Goyard SA looked utterly charming, and I couldn’t wait to pull my new tote out during the spring and summer months so that she could play nicely with my floral ensembles and pastel dresses.

When my Saint Louis arrived, I was thrilled with the color and I couldn’t wait to take her for a spin. Unfortunately, I found the seven-inch straps too short to be comfortable. For reference, I’m 5’1”, 108 lbs. With the Saint Louis PM on my shoulder, my elbow gets caught inside the bag every time I try to get my wallet out. I’ve begun working on a maneuver that I hope will help me access the interior of my bag with less frustration, but I haven’t perfected it yet.

If you are considering the Saint Louis PM, I highly recommend that you also consider two similar options from Goyard: the Artois PM and the Bellechasse. If you don’t need a zip closure, the Bellchasse is the perfect Goyard tote, and the straps on the Bellchasse are the longest of the three at almost nine inches. The Artois PM is slightly smaller than the Saint Louis PM, but the zip closure is a great bonus, and the strap drop is about eight and a half inches.

The best features of the Saint Louis PM are the detachable pouch, and the fact that the tote can be folded for easy storage. You can fold the Artois and the Bellechasse flat, but you can’t fold them into thirds like you can with the Saint Louis PM.

If you decide to acquire the Goyard St. Louis PM, you may want to purchase a base shaper to go with it. I purchased mine on Amazon.com, a Girls’ Guide to Glitz affiliate. The removable base gives the bag a nicer finish on the shoulder in my opinion. The Saint Louis PM measures 5.75 inches flat across the bottom, and the 11.8” X 5.9” base shaper fits nicely on top of the seams. As an alternative, you may prefer a bag organizer. I just purchased this one in pink for my Saint Louis PM.

The Goyard St. Louis PM easily holds a wristlet, kindle, makeup case, large wallet, foldable shopping bag, sunglasses, and wipes with room to spare.
